OK, I confirmed now: These ITV3 rips DO NOT include the original music of the series. Only for those tracks where the licenses were obtained the original music was used, the rest are self-produced cover versions (see for example the intro, which is NOT by Joe Cocker). So when you expect those nice Beatles, Byrds, Stones, The Mamas & The Papas etc. songs that were so carefully picked for this series, you'll hear cheaply made cover versions!!
